They say tequila won’t fix all your problems, but we say it’s worth a shot. And this July 24, you’ll have ample opportunity to see what problems you can solve by having a drink or two of the good stuff as you celebrate National Tequila Day. That’s right, there’s an entire day dedicated to celebrating the magical Mexican potion that is tequila — just please do so responsibly, and remember to never, ever drink and drive. If you can handle that, then you’re in for a good time.
Tequila, which is produced only in certain parts of Mexico using the regional blue agave plant, has long been a favorite of the American Southwest — but now has an international following. So grab the salt, cut some lemons, and remember your Spanish toast: Arriba! (up, with a raise of the glass); Abajo! (below to the table); Al centro! (in the center, toast with friends); and A dentro! (inside, as in down the gullet.) Here we go.

Located in Downtown Summerlin is celebrating with more than 40 tequila selections, the Naughty Maggie Margarita and a happy hour on July 24. The Naughty Maggie Margarita is made with made with Jose Cuervo Especial Gold tequila mixed with fresh lime juice, sweet and sour and triple sec, hand-shaken and topped with Grand Marnier, priced at $13.50. Happy hour will be offered inside the cantina from 2 until 7 p.m. with discounted selections including $3 off select appetizers and drink specials, $3 off house and flavored margaritas, $3 off well cocktails and $3 off house wines.

The cantina will offer 50 percent off blanco tequila shots on select tequila brands, including Cabo Wabo Tequila, Espolòn and Camarena.

The Pink Taco at the Hard Rock is celebrating with tequila tasting flights; the Pina-Vanilla featuring pineapple and vanilla-infused tequila, triple sec and lime served on the rocks ($15, $60 for a 64 oz. pitcher); or the Hot Pink Margarita made with Sauza Tequila, hibiscus, jalapeños, triple sec and sour mix served on the rocks ($14, $56 for a 64 oz. pitcher).
